Real Fyre Flame Enhancer Kit
The Real Fyre Flame Enhancer Kit adds a glowing back log, a heat-reflecting panel and extra embers to a G4 or G45 burner you already own. The steel panel hooks onto the back of the burner pan and sits behind the grate, packed with embers. The ceramic fiber back log rests against it in place of your set's back log. Heat that would have gone into the back wall is thrown forward, the flames stand taller, and the back log glows once the fire has been burning about 15 minutes. Peterson's claim for it: more flame and more warmth, same BTU.

36 inch sets: the FE-36 fits a 36 inch G45 with match light or the -02 electronic valve. For a 36 inch burner with a manual pilot, on/off or variable remote, Peterson uses a different panel (FE-30/36). Send us your burner model and we will order the right one.
New for 2026, the Flame Enhanced log sets pack the same parts with the logs at one price, if you are buying a set from scratch.
Fitting it
- Hook the panel's front tabs over the back edge of the burner pan, centered.
- Fill the pan with its sand or vermiculite and sprinkle embers over it, as your burner manual shows.
- Set the grate so its rear fingers sit between the panel's tabs, and pull it forward against the panel.
- Pack about 3 inches of embers on the panel between the grate fingers, level and firm.
- Center the fiber back log against the panel's rear tabs, sprinkle the rest of the embers, then place your front log touching it and the remaining logs as your set's guide shows.
- On the first burn, run the fire for at least an hour so the fiber log cures and glows properly.

Questions people ask
Will it change the gas use or the certification?
No. The burner and its rating are unchanged. The kit is a Peterson accessory listed for the G4 and G45.
What happens to my old back log?
Set it aside. The fiber back log takes its place.
Does it work on propane?
Yes. The same kit fits natural gas and propane G4 and G45 burners; the pan takes vermiculite instead of sand on propane.
Can I use it with a Charred set?
Yes. Most Charred styles are on Peterson's list. Keep the charred set's ember screen in place as usual.
