Real Fyre Royal English Oak (Designer) — Homeowner Guide
The Royal English Oak (Designer) is the gold standard for a bold, full-bodied fire with detailed bark texture and a traditional stacked log appearance. Designed for vented wood-burning fireplaces, this set uses the G45 Triple Burner system to create a massive, multi-layered flame and a deep, glowing ember bed that looks identical to a real wood fire.
1. What’s in Your Premium Package
This is a complete "Fireplace-in-a-Box." When it arrives, you’ll have everything needed for a professional-grade installation:
- • Hand-Painted Logs: High-definition refractory ceramic.
- • G45 Triple Burner: Extra front burner for deep embers.
- • Steel Grate: Designed for stability and proper log positioning.
- • Glowing Embers & Bryte Coals: For maximum realism.
- • Sand or Vermiculite: Tailored to your specific gas type.
- • Damper Clamp: Essential safety hardware included.
2. Choose Your Control (Ignition Styles)
How do you want to interact with your hearth? All 18"–36" systems (except Match Light) are ANSI Certified, meaning they are factory-assembled and safety-tested as a unit.
- • Match Light (NG Only): The classic, reliable way. Use a long lighter and your floor key.
- • Manual Pilot: Light the pilot once a season; control the fire via a knob on the logs.
- • On/Off Remote: The most popular choice. Spark the fire from your favorite chair.
- • Variable Remote: Total atmosphere control. Adjust the flame height from the remote.
- • Electronic Variable Remote: The luxury choice. No standing pilot; sparks electronically only when needed.
3. Important: Your Gas Type (Natural Gas vs. Propane)
This system ships standard for Natural Gas. Because our order system is automated for the fastest shipping, we need to catch Propane orders before they hit the warehouse.
⚠️ USING PROPANE (LP)? Propane sets require a safety pilot and specific media (vermiculite). If you have Propane, please leave a note in the "Order Special Instructions" box in your Cart, or use the chat bubble now to ensure your order is flagged correctly.
4. Fitment Guide (Minimum Fireplace Dimensions)
Pro Sizing Tip: If your measurements are within 1 inch of the minimums below, do not go up a size. It is always better to choose the next size down to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating your gas valves.
| Size | Min. Front | Min. Back | Min. Depth | Min. Height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 18" Set | 30" | 24" | 13" | 17" |
| 24" Set | 34" | 28" | 13" | 17" |
| 30" Set | 38" | 34" | 15" | 18" |
| 36" Set | 44" | 40" | 16" | 18" |
| 42" Set | 50" | 46" | 20" | 18" |
*Match Light (NG) can reduce the Min. Front Width requirement by 4". 42" and Match Light sets are not ANSI certified.
5. Need a Custom Setup? (Shallow, Peninsula, or See-Through)
Is your fireplace shallower than the 13"–15" minimums required for this set? Do you have a "See-Through" fireplace open on both sides, a three-sided "Peninsula" hearth, or a unique shape? Don't settle for a bad fit. We carry specialized burner systems designed specifically for shallow depths and multi-sided fireplaces. Please use the chat bubble now—our experts will identify the correct system for your space and build you a custom quote to ensure a perfect fit.
