The Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim is the frameless linear electric fireplace for a standard 2x6 wall: 5-3/8 inches deep, finished clean face with no visible trim, in five widths from 44 to 96 inches. The flame, ember bed and downlights are full-color LED, set separately or together, over driftwood logs and acrylic crystals. A 5,000 BTU ceramic heater with a thermostat, a remote and the WiFi app come standard, and it is rated for a covered patio as well as indoors. Choose the glass front or the invisible mesh screen that makes the fire look open.

Who it's for
Right buyer. You want a frameless, clean-face linear fireplace in a standard 2x6 wall, rated for a covered patio as well as indoors, with full-color lighting and an app. You would like the option of the invisible mesh screen for an open-fire look.
Wrong buyer. You want 240-volt heat or a two-sided install; both need the Multi. You want to plug it in and do it yourself; the Spectrum is the plug-in choice. You are set on the LCD screen and real logs; that is the Orion V2 Slim.
Will it fit?
Frame the opening below in a 2x6 wall and finish the drywall to the fireplace's drywall stops; the included trim gives the clean face. Electrical goes to the top right of the framing. In a 2x4 wall, use the same width and height, let the fireplace stand proud, and finish it with a custom facade.

Heat and power
The Slim is 120 volts only, hardwired by an electrician to its own 20-amp circuit, drawing 13 amps with the heater on. The heater gives 5,000 BTU, enough to take the chill off a room of about 400 square feet, with a thermostat and a lockout so the flames run without heat.

Log set
Standard. Hand-painted canyon driftwood logs over clear and smoke acrylic crystals.
TruWood Premium Timber. Modern Flames' upgrade log set: real split wood, hand-charred, drop-in. The Slim version, matched to your size.
Installation
Hardwired by an electrician to a dedicated 120-volt, 20-amp circuit, junction box at the top left rear. Indoors, or outdoors under a covered patio with the same overhang rule as the Multi: cover reaching out at least half the height from the base to the roof on the front and both sides, base at least 2 inches off the floor, no direct rain or sun.
- Fully recessed in a 2x6 wall: frame the opening, fasten through the L-brackets, finish the drywall to the stops; the trim in the box gives the clean face.
- Partial recess in a 2x4 wall: same width and height, custom facade around the part that stands proud.
What arrives
- The fireplace with front glass, mounting bracket set, trim, driftwood log set, clear and smoke crystals, remote and suction cup.
- The mesh screen and TruWood logs ship as their own cartons when you add them.
Before you order
- Indoor, or outdoor under a covered patio: the roof overhang must be at least half the height from the fireplace base to the roof on the front and the sides, the base at least 2 inches off the floor, and no direct rain or sun. Never in a bathroom or laundry room.
- It needs its own dedicated 20-amp circuit. Nothing else on the breaker, and never an extension cord or power strip.
- Keep curtains, furniture and bedding at least 3 feet from the front. The heater blows out of the top front.
- It is a supplemental heater for one room, not a home's main heat.
- The front is glass. Large sizes take two people to lift and to remove the glass.
- Built-in installs: frame the opening from the table above, run the electrical to the top right of the framing, and double-check the fireplace against the opening before cutting stone, tile or veneer.
How it performs
Frameless is the word for it: when the drywall meets the glass with nothing in between, the fire looks like part of the wall rather than a box in it. The mesh screen option takes that further by removing reflections, so the fire reads as open. The lighting is the same full-color system as the Multi, and the heat is the same 5,000 BTU on 120 volts, which suits the bedroom, office and living-room walls this fireplace tends to go into.
Trade-offs to know
- Hardwire only; there is no plug-in version.
- 120 volts only; no 240-volt heat.
- The mesh screen costs a little brightness and needs care when it is off the fireplace.
Living with it
The LED flame runs for years without service. The screen or glass lifts off by its magnets for cleaning. Outdoors, keep it under the overhang the manual specifies and cover it in the off season.

Questions people ask
Slim or Multi?
The Slim fits a 2x6 wall, is single sided and 120 volts only. The Multi needs 12 inches of depth, can be open on two or three sides, wall-mounts with a cabinet, and offers 240-volt heat. Same flame technology on both.
Glass or mesh?
Glass is standard and easy to clean. The mesh screen removes reflections, so the fire looks like an open hearth, at the cost of a little brightness. Both are held by magnets and swap in minutes.
Can it really go outdoors?
Yes, under cover. Modern Flames tests and approves the Landscape Pro for a covered patio: the overhang must reach out at least half the distance from the fireplace base to the roof, on the front and both sides, the fireplace sits at least 2 inches off the floor, and it must never get direct rain or sun. Installed that way the standard warranty applies.
Does it need 240 volts?
No. It runs on a standard 120-volt, 20-amp circuit and gives 5,000 BTU. The Multi can be wired for 240 volts instead, which doubles the heat to 10,000 BTU. The flames are the same either way.
Can I run the flames without heat?
Yes. The heater has its own button and a lockout, so the fire runs all summer with no heat, drawing about 15 watts.
Can I mount a TV above it?
The heat leaves through the top front, so check the TV maker's heat limits and keep the vent clear. The wall-mount cabinets and media walls are designed around exactly this layout.
How do the app and remote work?
The remote is in the box; it uses a CR2025 battery. The Modern Flames app pairs over 2.4 GHz WiFi or Bluetooth and adds a thermostat, a weekly heat schedule, custom color modes and the flame speed. The optional wall control adds a thermostat on the wall.
Can I return it?
Electric fireplaces are large, glass-fronted and shipped by freight. Measure the opening from the tables above before you order, and contact us before returning anything so we can arrange it properly.
What is the invisible mesh screen?
A fine non-glare mesh held by magnets in place of the glass, so the fire has no reflections and reads as open.
