Description
The Modern Flames Landscape Pro Multi is the linear electric fireplace that installs more ways than any other. Single sided, left or right corner, three-sided bay, half-recessed in a 2x4 wall, or on the wall with a Studio Suite cabinet, indoors or on a covered patio.
Who it's for
Right buyer. You want a linear fireplace that installs almost any way, corner, bay, half recess or wall mount, indoors or on a covered patio, with full-color lighting you set from an app and 240-volt heat as an option.
Wrong buyer. You want the most realistic flame money buys, with lit real-wood logs and speakers; that is the Orion V2 Multi. You have a plain 2x6 wall and a single viewing side; the Landscape Pro Slim costs less and disappears into it.
How it performs
The Landscape Pro is Modern Flames' proven LED fireplace, and it behaves like one: a mechanical flame effect with full-color lighting that you can push anywhere from a warm orange to blue and purple, ember bed and downlights set separately, and a fire that looks convincing from a few feet and decorative up close.
Good to know
- The flame is LED, not a screen; if you want to fool a guest at arm's length, that is the Orion.
- Hardwire only, and 12 inches of framing depth.
- Outdoors it must be covered; it is patio-rated, not rain-rated.
Specifications
Dimensions
Frame the opening below; height and depth are the same for every size. Electrical goes to the top right of the framing. For a bay, the drywall stops on both ends finish the sides; for a corner, one end; for a single-sided install, both ends get side glass and metal covers, and the included 1-piece trim finishes the face. A half recess in a 2x4 wall uses the same width and height and the fireplace stands proud of the wall for a custom facade.

Wall mounting needs no opening: the bracket screws to the studs and the Studio Suite cabinet wraps the exposed fireplace. Before you cut stone or tile, check the numbers against the fireplace itself.

Heat
The Landscape Pro Multi is hardwired by an electrician to its own 20-amp circuit. On 120 volts it draws 13 amps and gives 5,000 BTU, enough for about 400 square feet; on a 240-volt, two-pole, four-wire circuit the same heater gives 10,000 BTU for up to 800 square feet. Note that on 120 volts the low and high heat settings put out the same heat. With the heater off, the flames draw about 15 watts.

What arrives
- The fireplace with front glass, two side glass panels and two metal side covers, wall bracket and nailing flanges, 1-piece trim, driftwood log set, clear and smoke crystals, remote and suction cups.
- The trim kit, cabinet and TruWood logs ship as their own cartons when you add them.
Installation
Hardwired by an electrician, 120 volts on a dedicated 20-amp circuit or 240 volts four-wire, to the junction box at the top left rear. Indoors, or outdoors under a covered patio.
- Single sided: side glass and metal covers on both ends, the 1-piece trim from the box on the face.
- Corner or 3-sided bay: drywall stops on the open ends and the 5-piece trim kit.
- Half recess in a 2x4 wall: same width and height; the fireplace stands proud for a custom facade.
- Wall mount: bracket into the studs, Studio Suite cabinet around it.
- Outdoor: the roof overhang must reach out at least half the height from the base to the roof on the front and both sides, the base at least 2 inches off the floor, no direct rain or sun.
Planning the install
- Indoor, or outdoor under a covered patio: the roof overhang must be at least half the height from the fireplace base to the roof on the front and the sides, the base at least 2 inches off the floor, and no direct rain or sun. Never in a bathroom or laundry room.
- It needs its own dedicated 20-amp circuit. Nothing else on the breaker, and never an extension cord or power strip.
- Keep curtains, furniture and bedding at least 3 feet from the front. The heater blows out of the top front.
- It is a supplemental heater for one room, not a home's main heat.
- The front is glass. Large sizes take two people to lift and to remove the glass.
- Built-in installs: frame the opening from the table above, run the electrical to the top right of the framing, and double-check the fireplace against the opening before cutting stone, tile or veneer.
Questions
Landscape Pro Multi or Orion V2 Multi?
The Landscape Pro is an LED fireplace: a mechanical flame effect with full-color lighting, indoor and outdoor rated, from $2,779. The Orion V2 draws its flames on an LCD screen with lit real-wood logs and speakers, indoors only, from $4,999. Same install types on both.
Which trim do I need?
Single sided: none, the 1-piece trim is in the box. Corner or bay: the 5-piece trim kit for your size. Wall mount: no trim, the Studio Suite cabinet finishes it.
Can it really go outdoors?
Yes, under cover. Modern Flames tests and approves the Landscape Pro for a covered patio: the overhang must reach out at least half the distance from the fireplace base to the roof, on the front and both sides, the fireplace sits at least 2 inches off the floor, and it must never get direct rain or sun. Installed that way the standard warranty applies.
Does it need 240 volts?
No. It runs on a standard 120-volt, 20-amp circuit and gives 5,000 BTU. The Multi can be wired for 240 volts instead, which doubles the heat to 10,000 BTU. The flames are the same either way.
Can I run the flames without heat?
Yes. The heater has its own button and a lockout, so the fire runs all summer with no heat, drawing about 15 watts.
Can I mount a TV above it?
The heat leaves through the top front, so check the TV maker's heat limits and keep the vent clear. The wall-mount cabinets and media walls are designed around exactly this layout.
