Description
The Majestic Lanai is a linear outdoor gas fireplace with a stainless steel burner and glass media, in 48, 60 and 72 inch, for a patio wall or outdoor kitchen. It comes in 3 sizes: 48", 60", 72".
Who it's for
Right buyer. You want a linear outdoor gas fireplace with glass media in a patio wall or outdoor kitchen, in 48, 60 or 72 inch.
Wrong buyer. You want it seen from both sides of a wall; the Lanai See-Through. You want a traditional open firebox; the Courtyard or Vesper.
How it performs
The Lanai is a linear outdoor fire, 48 to 72 inches of flame over glass media with LED lighting, built into a patio wall or an outdoor kitchen. It is decorative first and warming second; sit close and the radiant heat is real.
Good to know
- Outdoors only, and only where the manual's definition of outdoors is met: no cover, or a cover with no more than two walls, or three walls with 30 percent of the perimeter open.
- It needs drainage under it and a non-combustible enclosure.

Installation
| Venting | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Type | No venting; outdoor decorative appliance |
Counts as outdoors only with no overhead cover, or a cover with no more than two side walls, or three walls with at least 30 percent of the perimeter permanently open. Insect screen allowed; no solar screen. Drainage from under the unit; optional drain pan ODLANAIG-48DP.
No venting. Outdoor gas fireplaces burn in the open air and are built with stainless and weather-rated components. The unit is installed in a non-combustible enclosure per the manual, outdoors only unless the model is rated indoor-outdoor.
Planning the install
- Installation is by a licensed gas installer. The fireplace, its venting and the gas line are inspected together, and the warranty depends on it.
- Framing, clearances to combustibles, mantel heights and the vent run come from the installation manual for your size. Send us your plan and we will check it before anything ships.
- Venting is sold separately and priced from the installer's plan: the pipe, elbows and termination depend on where the vent exits. Ask us for a vent quote with your order.
- Propane: every model is also made in an LP version at the same price. Add a note to your order and we will confirm the LP model before it ships.
- A 120-volt outlet or junction box at the fireplace is needed for the fan, lights and accessories; the ignition itself has battery backup.
- Special-order goods ship by freight. Confirm the size and the front before you order.
Questions
Can it go indoors?
Only the models Majestic rates indoor-outdoor, and only installed as the manual describes, with the required venting. Outdoor-only models must stay outside.
Does it need electricity?
The IntelliFire models need 120 volts for the ignition, fan and lights; the match-lit and manual-ignition models do not.
What is a front, and why is it required?
A Majestic direct-vent fireplace ships as the firebox and glass. The front is the finished face that covers the frame and the vents: a clean-face trim that disappears into the wall, or a decorative front with a screen. The fireplace cannot be finished without one, which is why the page will not let you order without choosing it.
What is IntelliFire Touch?
Majestic's intermittent-pilot ignition system. There is no standing pilot burning all year; the fireplace lights when you turn it on, from the wall switch, the remote or the app. It has a battery backup, so it still lights in a power outage. Flame height, the fan and the lights are controlled from the RC400 remote or the IntelliFire app with the Wi-Fi module.
Can I get it in propane?
Yes. Add a note to your order and we will confirm the LP model, which is the same price.
Can I return it?
Fireplaces are special-order freight items. Confirm the size, the front and the interior with us before you order, and contact us before returning anything.
