Description
The Majestic Reveal is an open-front B-vent gas fireplace: no glass, a real open fire with a log set, vented through a B-vent flue, in 36 and 42 inch. It comes in 2 sizes, Reveal 36 and Reveal 42.
Who it's for
Right buyer. You want an open fire with no glass, the feel of a wood fireplace with a gas log set, in a house with a B-vent flue or the room for one, in 36 or 42 inch.
Wrong buyer. You want efficiency or heat; an open B-vent fireplace sends most of it up the flue. A direct-vent Meridian or Marquis II gives the heat back.
How it performs
The Reveal is the one gas fireplace here with no glass: an open front, a real log set, and flames you can hear and feel, vented up a B-vent flue the way a furnace is. It is the closest a gas fireplace comes to the feel of a wood fire, and it lights from the wall switch or the remote.
Good to know
- Open fireplaces send most of their heat up the flue; the Reveal is for the look and the radiant warmth in front of it, not for heating the room.
- It needs a B-vent flue through the roof, not a sidewall vent.
- Room air feeds the fire, so the room needs the combustion air the manual specifies.

Installation

|---|---|
| Type | B-vent |
| Pipe | 6 in. double wall B-vent pipe |
| Min vertical | 12 ft (minimum total vertical rise) |
| Max horizontal | 30 ft (maximum total horizontal run) |
Install manual 4048-210 Rev AW (11/25): rise to run ratio 2:1; maximum total horizontal run 30 feet; minimum total vertical rise 12 feet; follow pipe manufacturer's installation guidelines.
Direct vent: a sealed coaxial pipe carries exhaust out and combustion air in, through the roof or an outside wall, with no chimney. The vent pipe, elbows and termination are sold separately and quoted from your installer's plan.
Planning the install
- Installation is by a licensed gas installer. The fireplace, its venting and the gas line are inspected together, and the warranty depends on it.
- Framing, clearances to combustibles, mantel heights and the vent run come from the installation manual for your size. Send us your plan and we will check it before anything ships.
- Venting is sold separately and priced from the installer's plan: the pipe, elbows and termination depend on where the vent exits. Ask us for a vent quote with your order.
- Propane: every model is also made in an LP version at the same price. Add a note to your order and we will confirm the LP model before it ships.
- A 120-volt outlet or junction box at the fireplace is needed for the fan, lights and accessories; the ignition itself has battery backup.
- Special-order goods ship by freight. Confirm the size and the front before you order.
Questions
What is a front, and why is it required?
A Majestic direct-vent fireplace ships as the firebox and glass. The front is the finished face that covers the frame and the vents: a clean-face trim that disappears into the wall, or a decorative front with a screen. The fireplace cannot be finished without one, which is why the page will not let you order without choosing it.
What is IntelliFire Touch?
Majestic's intermittent-pilot ignition system. There is no standing pilot burning all year; the fireplace lights when you turn it on, from the wall switch, the remote or the app. It has a battery backup, so it still lights in a power outage. Flame height, the fan and the lights are controlled from the RC400 remote or the IntelliFire app with the Wi-Fi module.
Does it heat the room?
Yes. A direct-vent fireplace is a sealed heater: it draws combustion air from outside and sends its exhaust outside, so all the heat from the glass goes into the room. With the optional fan it warms a good-sized room; the passive heat and heat-zone kits move heat to another room or out of the wall above.
How is it vented?
Through a coaxial direct-vent pipe out the top or the rear, to a termination on the roof or through an outside wall. No chimney is needed. The pipe, elbows and cap are sized to your house and sold separately.
Can I get it in propane?
Yes. Add a note to your order and we will confirm the LP model, which is the same price.
Can I return it?
Fireplaces are special-order freight items. Confirm the size, the front and the interior with us before you order, and contact us before returning anything.
