Specifications

Dimensions

How much do you need?

These are Peterson's amounts to cover the burner. The glass must sit flush with the pan, and no more than 1 inch deep over a PB burner. Do not overfill: extra glass on the burner can make it burn unsafely.

Burner Size Glass or gems to cover it
PB pan burner 16" or 18" 7 lb
PB pan burner 20" 8 lb
PB pan burner 24" 10 lb
PB pan burner 30" 12 lb
PB pan burner 36" 14 lb
PB pan burner 42" 16 lb
P45 pan burner 18" 10 lb
P45 pan burner 24" 15 lb
P45 pan burner 30" 20 lb
G21 vent-free 18" 7.5 lb
G21 vent-free 24" 10 lb
G21 vent-free 30" 15 lb
G21 see-through 18" 10 lb
G21 see-through 24" 12.5 lb

You can also spread glass across the firebox floor around the burner. For that, use Peterson's Fyre Glass calculator.

Installation

Good to know

  • Glass pieces can have sharp edges. Wear gloves when you pour it.
  • The glass stays hot for some time after the fire is off.
  • Peterson approves only Real Fyre media on its burners.

Questions
Which package should I buy?

Add up what your burner needs from the table above. One 10 lb package covers the smaller burners; the 40 lb bucket is for large burners or for filling the firebox floor as well.

Can I use it on another brand of burner?

Peterson tests and approves it for Real Fyre burners. On another brand, follow that burner's manual for approved media.

How long does it last?

Peterson warrants its glass, gems and nuggets for 10 years.
