The Drolet Escape 1500-I DB03137 Wood Insert is a high-efficiency insert designed to upgrade an existing masonry fireplace with real wood-burning heat. Its compact body, cast iron framed door, and ceramic glass viewing area create a clean view of the flames while giving older fireplaces a more efficient, finished look.
EPA 2020 approved and non-catalytic, the Escape 1500-I is designed for dry cordwood and offers a heating area of 500 to 1,800 square feet. It features a 1.9 cu. ft. firebox, up to 65,000 BTU/h maximum heat output, up to 7 hours of burn time, a glass air-wash system, stainless-steel secondary-air system, and room for logs up to 18 inches. A 29" x 44" faceplate, blower, ceramic glass, ash lip, and air damper are included for a complete fireplace upgrade.
