Clearances
Clearances are to combustible materials, from the appliance. They come from the installation manual for this model and depend on how it is vented; the installer confirms them on site.
Notes from the manual
Enclosure: guide states the unit can be adapted for use in enclosed locations; check building codes in your area. Combustible materials may NOT cover the metal face of the firebox. Seal joint with non-combustible sealant. Reducing clearances further than those shown requires non-combustible construction materials to a height of 12 in. above the framing height. Mantel and mantel-leg charts (measured from top of appliance opening; 3 in. min, 18 in. max; minimum side wall 12/9 and 6/6 callouts) printed as graphics, not transcribed.

Installation and venting
No venting. Outdoor gas fireplaces burn in the open air and are built with stainless and weather-rated components. The unit is installed in a non-combustible enclosure per the manual, outdoors only unless the model is rated indoor-outdoor.

Before you order
- Installation is by a licensed gas installer. The fireplace, its venting and the gas line are inspected together, and the warranty depends on it.
- Framing, clearances to combustibles, mantel heights and the vent run come from the installation manual for your size. Send us your plan and we will check it before anything ships.
- Venting is sold separately and priced from the installer's plan: the pipe, elbows and termination depend on where the vent exits. Ask us for a vent quote with your order.
- Propane: every model is also made in an LP version at the same price. Add a note to your order and we will confirm the LP model before it ships.
- A 120-volt outlet or junction box at the fireplace is needed for the fan, lights and accessories; the ignition itself has battery backup.
- Special-order goods ship by freight. Confirm the size and the front before you order.

Questions people ask
Can it go indoors?
Only the models Majestic rates indoor-outdoor, and only installed as the manual describes, with the required venting. Outdoor-only models must stay outside.
Does it need electricity?
The IntelliFire models need 120 volts for the ignition, fan and lights; the match-lit and manual-ignition models do not.
What is a front, and why is it required?
A Majestic direct-vent fireplace ships as the firebox and glass. The front is the finished face that covers the frame and the vents: a clean-face trim that disappears into the wall, or a decorative front with a screen. The fireplace cannot be finished without one, which is why the page will not let you order without choosing it.
What is IntelliFire Touch?
Majestic's intermittent-pilot ignition system. There is no standing pilot burning all year; the fireplace lights when you turn it on, from the wall switch, the remote or the app. It has a battery backup, so it still lights in a power outage. Flame height, the fan and the lights are controlled from the RC400 remote or the IntelliFire app with the Wi-Fi module.
Can I get it in propane?
Yes. Add a note to your order and we will confirm the LP model, which is the same price.
Can I return it?
Fireplaces are special-order freight items. Confirm the size, the front and the interior with us before you order, and contact us before returning anything.
What size gas line does it need?
A dedicated 1/2-inch line is typical for one fireplace; the manual gives the inlet pressure and the installer sizes the run. Natural gas needs 5 to 7 inches of water column at the appliance, propane 11 to 13.
Can it run in a power cut?
The IntelliFire Touch ignition has battery backup, so the fire lights and runs with the power off. The fan and lights need 120 volts and wait for it to return.
