Real Fyre G52 Outdoor Stainless Steel Burner

The Real Fyre G52 Outdoor Stainless Steel Burner is the all-stainless version of the G52 Radiant Fyre burner, built for outdoor wood-burning fireplaces with a natural gas line. It gives the same tall, glowing fire as the indoor G52: a tiered burner with a stainless steel booster grid that works as a catalyst to intensify the flame and make the logs and embers glow. This listing is the burner only. Logs are sold separately.

Which size do you need?

The 18/20 inch burner takes the 18 inch log set. The 24/30 inch burner takes the 24 inch or the 30 inch log set. Your firebox must be at least as large as the row for the log set you plan to use. Every size needs 15 inches of depth and 17 inches of height.

Heat input on natural gas, BTU per hour

Choose your control

Match Light. There is no valve on the burner. You hold a long lighter at the burner and open the gas with your fireplace's wall or floor key, which also sets the flame height. Natural gas only. Some cities require a safety pilot instead, so check with your installer or building department.

Manual Safety Pilot. A small pilot flame stays lit, and you turn a knob at the burner to light the logs. If the pilot ever goes out, the valve shuts off the gas. No batteries and no wiring.

What arrives

• One carton: stainless steel burner, stainless steel booster grid, two kinds of glowing embers, Bryte Coals, sand for the burner pan, lava granules, gas connector and damper clamp. The manual safety pilot version includes the valve, already assembled.

Use only the embers that come with the burner; adding more is unsafe.

Before you order

• For a wood-burning fireplace built of noncombustible material, outdoors or indoors, or a certified R.H. Peterson / American Fyre Designs fireplace. Indoors, the chimney must be at least 15 feet tall and the damper clamped open.
• Never use it in an enclosed space such as a tent, camper or car. It produces carbon monoxide.
• Do not run it in high wind, and place it where wind will not lift the flame off the burner.
• You need a natural gas line into the firebox, 1/2 inch inside diameter or larger, with a shut-off valve outside the firebox. Inlet pressure 5 to 10.5 inches w.c.
• The firebox floor cannot have an ash lip or a sunken hearth deeper than 3/4 inch.
• Installation is by a qualified gas professional. Keep children supervised around it, and never leave the fire on unattended.
