The Drolet Escape 1800-I DB03125 Wood Insert is a large, high-efficiency insert designed to turn an existing masonry fireplace into a strong wood-burning heat source. Its single cast iron framed door and ceramic glass viewing area provide a clean view of the flames, while the compact insert body makes it a versatile option for many fireplace openings.

EPA 2020 approved and non-catalytic, the Escape 1800-I is designed for dry cordwood and offers a heating area of 500 to 2,100 square feet. It features a 2.4 cu. ft. firebox, up to 75,000 BTU/h maximum heat output, up to 8 hours of burn time, refractory brick lining, a glass air-wash system, stainless-steel secondary-air system, and room for logs up to 20 inches. A blower, ceramic glass, ash lip, and air damper are included, while the faceplate is sold separately
