Will it fit my project?
Echelon II is made for framed installations, not existing fireplace openings. The 36 and 48 work well in more standard living spaces, while the 60 and 72 are better suited for larger feature walls and more dramatic layouts.
Clearances (simple)
- 0 clearance to floor
- 0 clearance to back
- 1 inch side clearance
- 1 inch front clearance
- minimum 7 inches from opening to perpendicular wall on one side, unlimited on the other side
- header depth should not exceed 3-1/2 inches
If heat management kits are added, the layout and clearances can change, so those projects should follow the matching installation instructions.
What installation typically includes
- wall framing and structural opening
- 8 inch direct vent pipe and termination
- gas line connection
- electrical hookup for lighting and controls
- unit placement and testing
- finish materials around the opening
Optional upgrades
- alternate front finishes
- reflective black glass interior panels
- driftwood or log sets
- Heat-Zone, Passive Heat, or Heat-Out kits
- Wi-Fi control module
Bottom line
The Echelon II is built for modern fireplace designs where width, flame presentation, and a clean finished look matter. The larger sizes, especially the 60 and 72, are best when the fireplace is meant to become a true centerpiece wall.
